Electronic versions of the final program (which should not differ materially from what appears below), will be emailed to convention registrants prior to the start of the convention.
As ODCBVI has a firm policy prohibiting the collection of any fees for participation in the annual business meeting, there is no charge to attend that event, which takes place at 10:15 a.m., sunday, November 11. Likewise, persons who only intend to attend the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) public meeting on saturday afternoon may do so without paying the registration fee. Under no circumstances will anyone be permitted to take part in any other convention event other than the two listed above without remitting the required registration payment.
The convention hotel is only one block away from the Eisenhower metro station and van service is available from the hotel. Directions to the hotel will be provided in a future email. The convention program appears below.
Lastly, I do apologize for the lateness of this convention announcement. Nevertheless, given the substantial fees incurred in making any changes less than seventy-two hours prior to the convention, the non-negotiable deadline for the receipt of registrations is Monday, November 5, 2012, and under no circumstances will persons be allowed to register at the door.
Please join us for what promises to be an informative convention with many opportunities for networking, and just plain fun!
